We can help diabetes researchers by developing a DNA repository. This DNA bank will contain the DNA from 3000 Australian families affected by diabetes (either Type 1 or child-onset Type 2). Each family in The Repository consists of the biological mother and father as well as the child with diabetes. Once The Repository is completed, researchers will require approval to be able to access the DNA. They can then research genetics links associated with diabetes.

Information Sheets

The pages below contain information regarding the project and your role, should you choose to participate. It is important that you read them.

There are two different statements, one for the parents, and one for the child. We understand that some children will be too young to understand the statement.
